MAUSER SPRINGER BOLT ACTION RIFLE ... 30-06 caliber ... 24" round barrel ... weight 7 lbs 6 oz ... 43 5/8" overall ... LOP 13 1/2" over 7/8" Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad ... jeweled bolt, extractor & follower ... trigger pull set at 5 lbs 8 oz ... adjustable leaf rear sight & ramp & bead front sight ... receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mount. Manufactured in Austria.
The top of the barrel is inscribed, "Custom Made for Pachmayr Gunworks, Inc. by Joh Springer Erben. Vienna." The nickel grip cap is engraved, "Donated by Nan and Frank Pachmayr to Wetlands for Iowa". The bolt handle has two custom checkered panels. The floor plate and trigger guard have 100% coverage of dense rose & scroll engraving. Highly figured, fiddleback European walnut is used for the stock which features a swept cheekpiece, pistol grip and a rounded ebony forend tip. The grip & forearm have generous amounts of multipoint checkering in a free-form diamond pattern.
The gun retains 98% of its blue with slight finish loss on top of the receiver. The stock is excellent with minor finish scratches. The bore is like new and the action is tight. This is a great value on a custom built gun. Call with any questions and see our other listings for ... "Only the best!
