Description:

Factory Engraved Winchester 1866 Rifle. Made in 1874. Beautiful untouched gun. Factory engraved and silver plated. Barrel has a plum colored patina throughout. Frame is scrolled engraved with a panel scene of an elk on the left hand side. Original silver plating is visible on the frame in protected areas. Engraving is all nice and sharp. Both the forend cap and butt plate are engraved as well. Wood is nicely figured and has sling swivels. Gun is all matching. Action works perfectly. Bore has strong rifling with some pitting. Very fine untouched Winchester 1866!
