Description:
This is a very rare Colt Model 1878 Cut-A-Way. It has a 3 1/2” barrel and is chambered in .41 Colt. There is not a serial number as this was used by the Colt factory sales staff to show the inside workings of the revolver. It is marked with an M on the bottom of the butt which stood for Model gun. The gun has a knurled knob on the right side that allows the side plate to be removed by hand to show the inter workings of the gun. The gun remains in the white and is very clean without any rust. The original factory grips remain in excellent condition. A highly collectible pre war Colt that would be hard to improve on. I offer a three day inspection on all of my guns and it will be packaged correctly with the gun being shipped in a zipper pouch. This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for shipment.
