Description:
This pistol was made in 1917 for the great war. In about 97% condition. No alterations or replaced parts. Has the hard to find magazine with the bottom staple. Shows very little use, great bore. The barrel has the correct Colt markings on the top of the breech for this pistol's time frame. Has a holster rub by the left side where it says United States Property, Also a holster rub on the right side where it says U.S. Army. Slight fading by the grip area. Other than what was described, this pistol has strong blue finish. The wood grips are original issue diamond pattern grips. There is no damage or loss to these grips. These war time finished pistols had a weak blue job, therefore the bluing was easy to fade or rub off. To find a really nice 1911 is a real plus! This is a World War One veteran's take home pistol. This pistol would look great in any World War One or Colt 1911 collection! Search for Harry Viezens on google.
