Description:
Starr Arms Company, New York City Double Action 44 Caliber Revolver. Made late 1850's early 1860's. Six shot 44 Caliber. Walnut grip. Traces of case colors on hammer and trigger. traces of blue on frame. Government inspector marks on both sides of grip. Fully functional with strong rifling, but light pitting in the 6" barrel. Some previous owner used the gun as a hammer.
