This is a WWII PARACHUTE FLARE PISTOL. It was probably used by the Navy but it could have been Air Force as well. It is mostly brass with an SST barrel. It was made by the International Flare Signal Co. Bore is clean undented an not corroded. The action functions perfectly and it WILL fire these big 37mm parachute flares. These big pistols will also fire many other types of 37mm ordnance. It is highly collectable and the BEST PART is that it comes with a half dozen of these near impossible to find 37mm flares. They are very expensive and what I have supplied is $200 or more worth of flares. It is a classic collectable and also very practical as an emergency decice on your boat - as parachute flares are the best type of long range visibble signaling in emergencies.
