Description:
1968 Pre Series 70 Colt Gold Cup National Match .45 ACP semi automatic pistol with factory box. Serial #31164-NM with matching slide. Condition is very good with the original, beautiful combination of highly polished Royal Blue finish over most, accented with matte finish in strategic areas to reduce glare. There is an area of oxidation shown on Right side of slide and another tiny spot on the opposite side, but otherwise shows very little use. Grips are in fine shape with no cracks or flattened checkering. Mechanical function and bore are excellent. The factory box is fair with some surface tears, some writing on lid, and one damaged end label replaced. These Colt Gold Cups are universally considered to be among the most beautiful and finest shooting semi-automatic handguns ever made. The first Colt Gold Cup pistol was introduced in the late 1950’s to give competitive shooters a gun they could take directly from the dealer’s shelf to the firing line...and win. They have a long proven record of extreme accuracy and reliability. It features a hand fitted slide with special barrel bushing, adjustable wide trigger, National Match Barrel, Adjustable Target Sights, and many other refinements.
