SANDRO LUCCHINI SIDE x SIDE SHOTGUN ... 28 gauge ... 28" chopper lump barrels ... choked Mod/Full ... weight 5 lbs 7 oz ... LOP 14 7/8" ... drop comb 1 3/8" ... drop heel 2" ... cast neutral ... top tang safety ... extractors ... double triggers with a rolled edge trigger guard.
Rizzini was commissioned to do the beautiful bulino style engraving on the coin finish frame and locks. A flying grouse is on the left side, a flying woodcock is on the right, a pheasant and setter are on the bottom, a flying partridge is on the top lever and a pheasant's head is on the trigger bow. Finely detailed arabesque scroll surrounds all of these.
A straight grip English stock is made of the highest quality, beautifully figured, Turkish walnut. Finely cut multi-point checkering is used for 100% coverage of the butt, 80% coverage of the splinter forearm and wrap-around coverage of the grip. The toeline features a gold oval with the initials "RC". This gun comes in a near new, leather luggage case that has a burgandy lining and red felt protective sleeves.
This gun comes with a copy of the original, hand written, instructions from the owner who ordered this gun built by Mr. Lucchini. The letter is dated 1999. It is obvious that this was a treasured possession from the overall excellent condition of the gun and case.
