All parts have been manufactured to original German specifications. PTR’s receivers are made on original H&K machinery to German military specifications. Receivers are manufactured from (.059) steel. PTR offers all models with a “Flat Top” receiver which will accept all original German and most aftermarket claw style mounts for optics. The finish is parkerized and powder coated with a scratch resistant black matte finish. PTR uses the world famous H&K style hooded front sight and adjustable rear sight drum adjustable out to 400 yards in 100 yard increments. The Special Edition features a match grade 18" barrel in the original G3 stepped profile. The barrel has a 1:10" rate of twist and has 15mm x 1mm right hand threads to accept your accessories. PTR’s pistol grips are polymer and U.S. made, all fire control parts are made of metal, not polymer. PTR’s standard trigger has a pull of approximately 9-10 pounds.
The Stock and hand guards for the PTR-91 Special edition are original surplus H&K wood and will not accept adaptable rails.
This gun comes in a lockable hard shell case with egg crate foam lining along with the owner's manual and gun lock.
