Deep, vibrant color case hardened side plates and frame are made even more beautiful by game scene engravings of a gold inlaid setter & woodcock in a brushy field on the left, two gold inlaid ducks coming in for a landing in a marsh on the right and two gold inlaid partridges in flight on the bottom. Surrounding these scenes is intricate acanthus scroll which extends to the trigger guard, tang and the pierced operating lever. The action and barrels retain 99%+ of their finish with no visible wear.
Only the pictures can describe the beautifully grained Turkish walnut stock and tapered forearm. Full length, wrap around checkering covers the forearm and the rounded pistol grip is wrapped in the same fine checkering. A deep, high gloss finish covers the rippling grain of this exceptional piece of walnut. The stock rates overall excellent with only one small ding in the toeline.
The gun comes in a molded, burgandy Rizzini case with 3 combination locks that is lined in velour. Accessories include a set of sling swivels, a can of Rizzini oil, two red velvet protective sleeves, owner's manual (in Italian) and the end off the original box.
