Description:
Very good condition, Evans Transistion Model Sporting rifle in 44 Evans. Original wood remains in very good condition with less than normal wear or nicks. Receiver and tube show strong blue intermixed with some freckling, Octagon barrel is 26" with an above average bore, strong sharp edges the barrel finish has turned predominantly dark but does show some traces of blue. The lever has about 30 percent original nickel. Original sights (the rear ladder peep could use a bit of straightening but is still operable) very nice example of the rare Evans rifle
