Description:
405 WCF caliber. This is the big dog that everybody wants! Teddy Roosevelt made this gun famous. This one features a 24 inch tapered round barrel with thinning original blue that is worn at the carry point by the caliber marking. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. Crisp action. Original sights. Receiver is mostly a grey patina with original blue in the protected areas. Wood is in good condition with a few handling mars. It is unusual to see a gun with this caliber without a shotgun butt. This one has the desirable rifle stock with crescent butt plate. Stock appears to have been freshened with a coat of finish added. A good looking Winchester in a very desirable caliber!
