Description:
First Generation Colt Single Action Army chambered in .45lc with a 5 1/2'' barrel and blue / color cased finish. Per the factory letter it was shipped July 26, 1924 to New Haven Conneticut. Also included is the original box numbered to the gun. This is an exceptional collector grade gun. All numbers match on the frame, grip frame, and grips. The last two digits are stamped on the rear of the cylinder. The color casing is brilliant. The bluing is near perfect. The only thing that really detracts is some very fine spot thinning on the back strap. It is very minor and hardly noticeable. There is a very light turn line. The cylinder face is completely clean. The grips are flawless. The box was in rough shape when my consignee received it. He spent several hundred dollars on a professional restoration on it that used all of its original parts. This is one of the finest 1st Gen SAAs that you will ever find.
