Description:
Identified in Ray Riley's The Powder Flask Book, pages 110 (photo plate) and 114. Manufactured by the Geoorge and J.W. Hawksley Company, of Sheffield, England, (c.1840-1889). 8"x3 1/4"x1/ 14". Elaborate design on both faces. Copper and brass construction, with good patina. Intact eyelets, collar screws and side seams. Intact and fully functional spring activated dispensing nozzle. Front of nozzle face is stamped with "Geo & JW Hawksley Sheffiedl". A nice example.
