Description:
French Model 1763 Cavalry Pistol. Flintlock tang marked “M1763”, lock marked “MRE Libreville”. Libreville was Charleville prior to the French Revolution and was named Libreville in November, 1793 to commemorate the French Revolution. This pistol is about very good overall condition. Lock and tang markings are sharp and clear. Has a stock cartouche, the letter “A” in a flourish. Stock has some scattered worm damage, but is insignificant. Action works perfectly, and all parts are original. A nice piece of French revolutionary history!
