SEARCY DOUBLE BARREL SET ... 470 Nitro Express/ 375 FL Mag/12 gauge ... both rifle barrels are 24" mono-block with double underlugs, express rear sights and caterpillar front sights (the 375FL barrels are milled for Talley Ouick Detach rings)... the 12 Gauge barrels are 28", 3" chambers, fitted with Colonial choke tubes (IC/Mod) ... weight is 10 lbs 4 oz with the 470NE barrels and slightly less with the other two ... LOP 15 1/4" over 3/4" solid Pachmayr recoil pad ... boxlock action has non-automatic safety, bushed firing pins and articulated double triggers ... automatic ejectors. Manufactured in California.
The French grey receiver has just the right amount of arabesque scroll engraving along with "B Searcy & Co." Each barrel set has the maker's name, the caliber designation and a flourish of scroll engraved at the head of the rib. Very nicely figured English walnut is used for the pistol grip stock with a beaded cheekpiece. A crystal clear, gloss finish covers the stock and all three forearms.
The gun comes in a brass bound oak & leather case with fitted compartments for all the pieces. This is an extremely versatile set which should serve the shooter well in any African encounter.
