Description:
This is truly a spectacular one of a kind Custom Fox 16 gage. This gun is a 3 barrel set of 28",30" and 32" ejector barrels. No expense or effort was spared on this unbelievable Custom Fox Shotgun. The stock was made from the finest Turkish Walnut blank available at any price. this beautiful stock measured 1 3/8" X 2 3/8" X 15" with a slight cast off.It features 28 LPI Fleur and ribbon checkering with a checkered butt and heal and toe plates that are case colored to match the receiver. The 28 inch barrels are original to the gun. All barrel bores are mirror finish and have been properly fit to the receiver. They are on face and tight on the hinge pin.All 3 barrels have ejectors that function properly. The 28 and 30 inch barrels share a forend. The 32 inch barrels have a graded Deely latch had are filled with a splinter and semi beaver tail forend.All 3 barrels have a lustrous rust blue finish. An enormous amount of time effort and money has gone into making this wonderful shotgun.The deeply sculpted receiver is executed to the highest level.The top lever being sculpted along with the cut outs in the trigger guard make for a striking display of the engravers art.
The 28 inch barrels have a bore diameter of .670" in both left and right.The choke in the right is .005" and in the left it measures .008". The gun weighs 5# 12 oz. and balances ahead of the hinge pin. It is a fast and deadly Grouse gun.
The 30 inch barrels have a bore diameter of .670" in the left and right. The choke in the right is .008" and in the left it measures .016". The gun weighs 6# 7 oz and balances at the hinge pin.
The 32 inch barrels have a bore diameter of .654 left and right. The choke in the right barrel is .012". The choke in the left barrel is.022" The gun weighs 6 # 11 oz. and balances just ahead of the hinge pin.There are 2 forends a splinter and a semi beaver tail to accommodate the type of shooting you are engaging.
I have hunted this enchanting gun and have enjoyed it immensely as no doubt will the next fortunate owner. There are a few minor surface blemishes in the butt that will not show up in the photos. The gun is pure delight to shoot, carry and admire and is something to be proud of. The 32 inch barrels are not only rare but are beyond compare on high Pheasants and Dove.
