This is a rare military/commercial 1918 artillery that was initially intended to be a military pistol chambered in 9mm. It probably never was issued and when the war was over it was declared surplus.. Most surplus pistols were convered for export, rebarreled to 30mm and the date ground off of the chamber.This one remained 9mm and was proofed as a commercial.pistol (it carries export marking "Germany" It comes with a correct un-numbred stock and holster. The chamber was never ground off.leaving it.in the military configuration..All components are in like new condition and include a original.and a matching correct un-numbered wooden clip (Commecial) It has a mint bore and virtually no wear showing-any place.. .It is a treasure that would complementd any collection.
