Description:
This Model 340D 222 Remington bolt-action rifle has a tapered round 24" blued barrel. Fitted to the barrel is a bead front sight and an adjustable buckhorn rear sight with windage and elevation. Features Western Field 3.5-9x scope mounted on Weaver scope mounts. Scope is in poor condition with blemishes on the crosshairs. Comes with leather lens covers. Stamped on the left side of the barrel is SAVAGE Savage Arms Corporation Westfield Mass USA Proof Tested Cal 222 Rem Model 340D. Bore condition is excellent. The P grade Walnut pistol grip butt stock and forestock are in good condition asides from a few minor scratches. Fitted to the pistol grip is a black plastic pistol grip cap. Butt stock features red rubber Red Head recoil pad. On the pad is Red Head Brand Chicago. Finish is starting to lift where the butt pad meets the butt stock. Length of pull is 14-1/2". Feautures sling swivel mounts. Good wood to metal fit - made by Savage Arms Co. Condition: Good. Our stock number is: A198.
