This is a very nice WWII collectible. In the very early 1960's, I remember as a kid you could order a variety of WWII surplus rifle from the back page of the American Rifleman. These 03A3's were 20.00 shipped to your door step C.O.D. The 1968 Gun Act ended that... The serial number of this example is 36464XX placing date of manufacture in 1943, with a barrel date of CS/1943 it is safe to assume this rifle has retained its original barrel. The stock is marked OG indicating it went through the 1947 rebuild in Ogden, Utah. The Military box indicated it was shipped from the Ordnance Depot in Pueblo, Colorado.
