Or perhaps it was the personal handgun of Atilla the Hun who might have dropped it when retreating during the Battle of The Catalaunian Plains in Northern Italy. (Both of those hypothetheses being humor, of course; it is nowhere near THAT old!!) but whatever it was, it is certainly the simplest action imaginable; basically just a hand-cannon that was touched off by using a smoldering “punk” and having no moving parts whatsoever. There is little doubt that this huge “handgun” probably dates back a couple of centuries or more, and yet remains in what appears to be original condition aside of now being missing the rammer. It has about a 1” bore (100 caliber), and looks to be in fine mechanical condition except for having a very dirty bore (but then it HAS no mechanics!) This is certainly a handgun that will raise eyebrows from almost everybody, and when your macho buddy pulls out his snub-nose Model 29 S&W 44Mag and says, “Dude..This is a GUN!” ….you can pulls this out and say, “No, Dude, THIS is a GUN!!” Condition of the exterior and I will leave to the photos and your own imagination! Very Good ….I think! $235 SOLD Antique: Yes |
