Description:
Serial #334571, .300 Savage, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome rifle that has retained 97-98% of the original blue with only some very mild areas of silvering at the muzzle, along a few of the projecting edges, underside of the receiver, and around the take-down slider on the forend. The lever retains a commensurate amount of the original, bright color case-hardening with just a small amount of contact fading along the bearing surfaces. The rifle has a ramped, white dot sporting front sight, Marble's rear barrel sight, and a Lyman Model 99 rear aperture sight installed at the rear of the receiver. The checkered walnut forend has some minor handling marks and small blemishes in the otherwise excellent original varnish, and the buttstock, which has an original, short 13" length of pull to the original metal buttplate. The rifle does not appear to have been used very much at all and rates excellent condition. It is a great looking rifle that has retained an unusually high degree of the original finish. FFL or C&R
