Nazi Marked Danish 1889/10 Krag Bolt Action Rifle, serial # 2977, 8x58 R, has a 24" barrel with a very good bore that shows some scattered frosting and light peppery pitting between the lands but with strong rifling. The metal surfaces retain 90-93% arsenal blue and the extractor retains much of its fire blue with a couple areas of oxidation. The walnut stock rates very good with scattered dings, handling marks, a small hole on left side of butt, some scratches and a few moderate abrasions on the underside of stock near rear band. The front sight base is simply marked "3" but all other visible serial numbers are matching to the receiver and the barrel is marked "(Crown)/40" and "(Crown)/DK", the underside of stock is also stamped with a partially indiscernible Waffenampt which reads "Eagle/Wa 8". Also included with this rifle is an original brass muzzle cap stamped 6B/8?7. The overall condition on this scarce German marked WWII rifle is good plus plus - very good. Inv.: # 2-1740
