Colt SAA Engraver Sampler with Box .45 LC, Nickel finish, 4 5/8" bbl, full front sight, Colt block letter address on top of the barrel and “COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45” on left side, left side of frame has 3-line 3-patent dates, smooth ivory grips with gold Colt Custom Shop 150th medallions. Left grip is inscribed with the names of three factory engravers and the dates they were employed at Colt along with “CONTEMPORARY”. The revolver is engraved over 40-50% of the surfaces by Colt engraver John Adams, Sr. with various engraving patterns. both sides of the frame near the hammer are engraved with sunbursts and stars on the sides of the front of the frame. Engraving on the barrel is on the sides and top and go about 2/3 of the way to the muzzle to include the ejector rod housing. There is a 150th Rampant Colt logo linecut engraved on the top of the back strap which is engraved with “Colt Engraving Sampler”. Engraving also covers the cylinder, butt strap & trigger guard. A Colt factory letter has been ordered for the revolver and is expected soon. This revolver is one of only 330 revolvers produced in the Sampler Edition in this particular model configuration.
