L.C. Smith 20 Ga. Field FWS
Nice little featherweight framed 20 gauge field grade. Year of manufacture is 1921 according to the L.C. Smith Collector Association serial number lookup. Gun is a non-ejector and manual safety at 6 3/8 lbs. English stock appears refinished with only minor scratches and handling marks, no cracks or deep scrapes. Left stock horn has very small (1/4” long) chip missing out of top next to tang while the left has an even smaller chip at the action back. None of the horns have cracks. Old English ½” recoil pad and black spacer instead of original butt plate. Barrel bluing is very good with some worn thin spots at the breach mostly with a few other thin spots at wear points such forearm contact and muzzle ends. Fluid Steel barrels have no dents and are very nice inside and out with 2 ¾” chambers and a file cut flat rib with brass bead at 28”. Chokes are approximately IC/Mod.
