Superb Pre War Winchester Model 70 22 Hornet standard rifle. 24" Barrel. Undrilled, matted rear receiver bridge. Near Mint condition inside and out easily showing 99% Blue, 99% Varnish. Has immediate Post WWII 1946 Serial # with matching bolt, yet produced from 100% Pre War components. The wood on this particular rifle exhibits that subtle richness of color and grain afforded to a relative few of this model. I have personally verified that chamber has not been reamed to "K" hornet, nor had any other modifications whatsoever. Mechanical function and bore are of course expectedly excellent. Positively among the very best you will ever see offered for sale.
