Description:
In the earliest days of the Civil War, patriotic pride was reflected on both sides by employment of "patriotic covers" (i.e. mailing envelopes). These are original but unused Confederate samples. Ironically, these were probablycreated by printers in the Northeast, who at the time had no problem filling such orders for Southern retailers.
