Description:
Gorgoeous 1936 first year production Pre War Winchester Model 70 standard rifle in 30 '06 Caliber. 24" Barrel. Undrilled, matted rear receiver bridge. S/N 1xxx with matching Bolt. 99% Blue features the equisite rust blued barrel of all true pre wars and the highly desirable carbonum blued receiver seen only on the earliest models. There is a faint rub on back left side of receiver as shown, but does not detract much. 99% Varnish. Note the rare squared off magazine floor plate release button which changed to a beveled style early on the 2nd year of production. Mechanics and bore are excellent.
