This is serial number (5) of 100 prototype or tool room model 1911's manufactured by Noth American Company in 1918 . A compltete discription and photos of this exact gun #5 can be found on page 203 of Charles W. Clawson's book titled Colt 45 Service pistols Models of 1911 and 1911A1.
This gun for 100 years old is in great shape and truly a rare find and a must have for any one wanting a full collection of 1911's.
We are currently selling the family collection of 1911's with over 160 guns still available for purchase. I will be listing a few every week on here until the collections is sold. The final gun in the group to be sold will be our "singer" 1911A1 some time this spring.
