For sale, a nice Marlin 336CS manufactured in 1983 chambered in the popular 30-30 Winchester cartridge. This Marlin is in good used condition, it has been lightly used and not abused. The factory gloss blue finish is in great shape overall rating 93%. There is some high edge wear and some thinning on the bottom of the receiver where it was carried at the natural balance point. The bore is bright with strong rifling in excellent shape with no pitting. The factory walnut stock set is also in excellent shape. There are no cracks, repairs, or chunks missing. There are some light handling marks and a few small scratches; to be expected with a lightly used rifle. The pistol grip cap and factory butt plate with white spacers are in good shape, with only some minor shrinking and slight discoloration to the white spacers common to these vintage Marlins. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped for a scope and the holes are filled with plug screws. This Marlin 336CS is 100% functional like the day it left the factory. Everything works like it should and the lever action is smooth and tight. These were very well made rifles, they have a much higher degree of fit and finish than the modern production Marlin 336s and used much better wood. If you are looking for a classic American lever action in the legendary 30-30 caliber that will perform in the woods and look good doing it, this would be a great choice.
