FN MAUSER 98 BOLT ACTION RIFLE ... 30-06 caliber ... 24" sporter barrel ... weight 8 lbs 2 oz with scope ... 44 1/2" overall ... LOP 14 1/2" ... lever style floor plate release ... double set triggers currently set for 1 lb 8 oz pull ... flip-up leaf rear sight & bead on a ramp front sight ... front & rear sling swivels. This item includes a Redfield 2 x 7X scope with duplex reticle in Griffin & Howe side mounts.
This gloss blue commercial action has been beautifully engraved with heavy floral scroll which surrounds a leaping stag on the floor plate. The European walnut stock features a Bavarian cheekpiece, pistol grip and slight Schnaubel forend tip. The grip cap and butt plate have contrasting white line spacers and there is hand cut checkering on the front and rear grip surfaces. Stock and barrel are excellent with only minor marks. The bore is like new and the optics are bright and clear. AND the trigger is so, so, so, sweet.
