Description:
This Colt hammerless caliber 380ACP was produced in 1920. The serial number is 39952. Being type III, It has the original earlier hard rubber grips, that are in fine condition with no cracks or chips. The checkering is sharp and defined. The bore is bright and clean. All mechanics are excellent and it functions perfectly. The slide serial number matches the frame number. The original blued finish would rate a 92%- 95% overall condition; with only edge blue loss. There are no surface scratches on the slide or frame, and this pistol displays moderate useand care. It has with it two original & correct magazines for this model. Also included in this sale are a set of original & unused Colt Walnut checkered grips found on later models, with screw and Colt medallions. Colt 380's are difficult to find in this condition today. Most of these little pistols saw hard use and wear; especially true of the early pistols. This is a valuable collectable and could serve as a premier carry sidearm.
