Description:
We are offering for sale a Remington New Model Army Revolver chambered in .44 caliber. This revolver, also incorrectly known as the Model 1858 remains in good condition with scattered original blue remaining with plenty of patina.
8” Octagon barrel is good with wear; loss; oxidation. Surface color is spotty with patina. Bore is good with moderate surface wear; rifling. Cylinder pin and plunger retain spotty original bluing. Frame is good and with scattered wear; light oxidation. Cylinder is good with brown patina. Cylinder is somewhat loose; timing a bit off. Screw heads very good without marring. Original grips are good with light remnants of the cartouche on left side. This gun appears to be all original and came from the original owners great grandson! Barrel and frame have matching serial numbers.
