Many of these rifles saw use in the American Indian Wars and even as late as the Spanish American War. Condition wise this rifle is in very good condition. The bore is dark but has strong rifling. It retains most of its original blue and the original inspectors cartouches in the wood are still visible. These are a lot of fun to shoot and factory ammo is readily available.
