Description:
Winchester Model 64 Rifle - Cal. .32 Spl. - 24" Bbl.. - SN 209XXXX(1955). Perfect bore - bright and shing with sharp rifling - excellent smooth action with positive feeding, extraction, ejection and tight lock-up. Metal is excellent overall with sharp markings and no rust, pits, or corrosion - factory tapped for receiver sight. Barrel and magazine tube retain 99% blue - receiver about 98% with slight wear on sharp edges and bottom and showing a few light scratches on the sides - steel buttplate is undamaged and retains 85% -90% blue - rear sight has been replaced with a blank and a proper period Lyman 66A receiver sight installed. Wood is deluxe style with "H" checkering and pistol grip cap but no provision for swivels. The butt shows nicely repaired chip at upper left part of heel and stocks look to have had oil or varnish lightly added over original finish - checkering is sharp and crisp and retains 98% finish. An exceptionally nice old 64 rifle with checkered stock that will make a great hunter, shooter, and collectible.
