Description:
Colt SAA Revolver - Cal . 45 - 4 3/4" Bbl. - SN 150XXX(1893) - matching on frame, guard, butt, grips - no number on cylinder. Bore is VG +, shiny with sharp rifling and will grade 7 or 8 of 10 - chambers are clear but show slight roughness in spots. Action is crisp with 4 "clicks", excellent timing and good lock-up. Metal is about VG overall showing light "spotting" on the cylinder and front of frame, plus a little on the barrel and the front of the ejector housing - sharp markings - 2-line address - barrel has some mild dings and dents. The front sight has been replaced and the area around the muzzle shows some discoloration from re-soldering - barrel, cylinder, and backstrap retain about 20% fading blue drifting to a brownish patina, The frame shows slight toning and only faint traces of fading case color. The hard rubber grips are undamaged with good fit to the frame and show moderate wear to the checkering and logo. A crisp old SA in .45 caliber and the popular 4 3/4" barrel that has seen use but has excellent mechanics and will make a super shooter and cowboy action gun.
