Description:
Parker grade VH extractor double barrel shotgun, # 182947, O frame, 28 gauge ejector barrels made by Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Co, 2 ¾ chambers, 28 inches long, choked Improved Cylinder .008 and Improved Mod, .018, numbered to the receiver, with hardened wear plate. Double triggers, manual safety, plain walnut pistol grip capped stock with reproduction dog’s head butt plate with widow’s peak and original butt plate engraved screws, LOP 14 1/8, DAC 1 ½ and DAH 2 ¾, and vacant nickel silver escutcheon plate, splinter fore end. Weight 6.12. Made 1919, not in Serialization and Identification book. Color case hardened by Brad Bachelder: receiver, top lever, fore end iron, latch, and tip, cleaned, lubricated internally, engraving retouched, trigger guard blued, unlocking rod replaced, stock glass bedded around tang and receiver edges (5/2016). When CSMCO made these barrels they were part of a two barrel set so they had to find a dolls head extension from a Parker of an different era to use for the rib of the new barrels. The lock up is perfect laterally in the extension but there is a slight gap, though it is not on a bearing or locking part of the extension. The lower locking lug fits with as satisfying bank vault door clunk when closing, and there is no play anywhere in the action. Comes with high grade leg o'mutton case stamped A&F NY probably Abercrombie and Fitch (not shown in pictures) in excxellent condition. 40.00 shipping to your FFL dealer, who must be willing to accept a shipment from a non FFL holder.
