SALE PENDING This Ruger #1 Single Shot rifle chambered in 300 Winchester Magnum is very unique in that it has a 24 inch heavy varmint style barrel with the long forearm wood. These were only made in a limited run in the mid 1970's. Red Ruger butt pad and the tang safety are present with the original blueing in 98%+ with an excellent mirror bore. The original varnish was professionally stripped off the stocks so to not have too much reflection when hunting, they were not sanded or altered in any other way and the sling swivels were removed, the original holes remain. This Ruger #1 has only had about about 60 rounds shot through it and was used on a few Elk/Mule deer hunts. When sighted in on the bench it shot a ragged hole group at 100 yds with 180 grain bullets and also shot very well with 220 grain bullets. Original Ruger rings are also included. A fine choice in a rather rare configuation for a Ruger #1 for a great Elk, Moose, Deer or Bear rifle. Shipped from FFL to FFL by USPS Priority mail 45.00
