Superb rifle; Holland and Holland 7 x 57 Mauser action, takedown, "1985 Sesquicentennial Rifle" and "Holland and Holland 33 Bruton Street London" engraved on top of barrel. Highly figured stock, hand rubbed oil finish, raised cheekpiece, horn forend, color hardened pistolgrip-cap with trap containing spare sight, barrel band, gold oval with initials, and leather covered recoil pad. Holland and Holland quick detachable scope mounts, Zeiss Diavari-C scope, 3 x 9 x 36. Barrel banded front site with folding moon sight and ramp mounted rear site with one standing leaf (100 yds.) and two flip up sights (200 and 300 yds.). No carry case.
Standard engraving on Holland and Holland scope mounts, stippling on barrel and scope mounts, no additional engraving.
Rifle is 44 1/2 inches in length, 24 inch barrel, 14 1/4 LOP.
Condition of rifle is excellent, with minor handling marks on toe of stock and a slight mark near bolt action. The rifle is accurately reflected in the photos. An elegant rifle that has been in the family since 1985.
