Description:
Serial #M18661, .303 British, 25” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a BSA-made, 1942 dated rifle has retained about 85-90% of the original blue finish with some mild silvering along the exposed edges, at the muzzle, and high points. The matching bolt has streaked gray along the body with plum-brown on the handle and on the wide safety lug. A Mk. 3 sheet metal adjustable rear sight is fitted and there is a small import stamp on the top of the barrel. The forend and handguards have a fine military oil finish with scattered light handling marks and blemishes throughout, including some minor bruising along the forend and buttstock. A large rack number is painted on the left side of the butt: “963”. A single unnumbered magazine is included which has a dark Suncorite finish, and a gray-green nylonsling is currently fitted as well. This is a handsome, war-dated Lee-Enfield rifle and rates excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
