Description:
Very rare and unusual Remington model 1858 New Model Army.This gun is fully floral engraved and has seen very little use.It is possible that the engraving was done at the factory since all of the correct martial inspectors stamps are in the correct places on the gun.The revolver has a 44 caliber 8" octagon barrel and a nickel finish.It has original wood grips.The action is tight and the cylinder indexes properly.According to Springfield research this revolver was shipped in 1863 in a shipment of 500 guns to the 6th Michigan cavalry.This is a very rare gun in collector condition.Listed as an antique and can be shipped direct.
