Payment Types Accepted: checks, cashiers/bank check, money order Description: RARE CONFIGURATION SPECIAL ORDER 1894 TAKEDOWN .30 WCF CALIBER RIFLE WITH FULL OCTAGON BARREL AND HALF MAGAZINE, MADE 1904, this is especially unusual as when the half magazine feature was special ordered the barrel used as standard  was either full round or half octagon- the full octagon with half magazine was actually a second special order feature and is very rarely found- even more so as a takedown! This was obviously someone's pride and joy hunting rifle that was used considerably as the barrel blue has pretty well aged to brown and shows some evidence of one or two very small spots of scattered light rust that was wiped off at some time in the distant past- minor, gray/brown receiver, fine forend shows normal handling and has higher than standard grade walnut which was typical for special order rifles, butt stock look to have been lightly gone over at some time and has a small chip/sliver out of the upper tang/receiver juncture on the right side, exc. markings tight action, has a few light dings by the takedown ring at the rear of the forend, but takedown seems to lock up well with only a slight gap, bore is a bit dark with strong rifling and will clean exc., original buckhorn rear sight with blade/bead front sight, no doubt lots of history and game taken with this unusual 1894!
