SALE PENDING A fine and original Pre-64 Model 70 rifle chambered in 257 Roberts and made in 1947...a key Transition period rifle. The rifle has a beautiful finish...stock and metal is all original with about 98% original blueing and about 95% on the stock with sharp original checkering. Matching bolt and original sights. This rifle was just lightly hunted and well taken care of...usual handling marks of small dings and dents on the stock...and a few small spots on the blueing and also a small amount on the front sight cover and muzzle. Checkered blued steel butt plate remains in great condition with about 75% blue remaining. Excellent bore with sharp rifling and shiny...no corrosion. This is an all original rifle with no issues and has not been tampered with. I am also including a fine original period full box of Western Super-X 257 Roberts cartridges with this rifle...seprate ground shipping of 10.00...A great and desirable transition year standard Pre 64 257 Roberts for the Winchester Model 70 collector. USPS Priority is 65.00 shipped and boxed in a new plastic hardcase.
