Colt/Remington Rand 1911A1 .45 ACP caliber pistol. Made in 1944. This gun has a Remington Rand frame along with a Colt slide. Sometimes this was arsenal done, other times it was a case of being switched in the field. In any case, the slide and frame look to have been together for a while as they have identical wear patterns. The barrel is a High Standard which would be correct for a Remington Rand. Good looking WWII 1911A1.
