Description:
Gun dates 1941 with Ser# 692XX. Original untouched condition except for added scope mount holes. Minimual loss on varnish. Scratch on r. rear of buttstock, L. side butt stock on comb area, roughness left side of forearm below barrel receiver junction, impression under forearm. Rest of finish is bright and smooth as new as it has been the past 9 years of ownership. 85-90% blue. Blue loss at muzzle extending 1" back. Additional streak of loss on left side of barrel 1/8" X 3". Edges of rear sight have are sivler/gray. Trigger guard has graying and thinning, trigger is soft blue with thin gray on 1 edge. Buttplate is graying with thin blue remaining. Rear of receiver(bolt end) is graying/brown. Potentially good enty for pre-war collectable but is distracted from formal collecting because of side mount holes. Bolt removes eaisly for through cleaning Shoots and operates as normal, Very accurate with most ammo I have put through it. Weaver 7/8" tube D-4 scope mounted in steel side mount. Scope is high enough for clear view of iron sights, while good position for scope viewing is just a little forward,higher on comb for comfortable shooting through optics.Clear optics with standard crosshair.
