When John Olin wanted to have title to the strongest side by side shotgun in the world, he went to work and got it done. The Model 21 is an American icon and its reputation is well deserved. A strikingly handsome gun with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure. IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN. Most double gun enthusiasts are well aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself. With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. This Model 21, SN3799 built in 1936, is a fine example of a factory original Model 21 that is fully documented by the Cody Firearms Museum info that comes with this gun. THIS GUN IS AS SHIPPED, WITH ALL FACTORY FINISHES….. A RARE FIND. The gun is fitted with a top quality fine leather covered pad, the only thing not mentioned in the letter. Nicely figured wood, a bit of natural wear on the receiver, mirror bores, perfect screws, make this a Model 21 that will not last long. The 26” barrels are factory choked WS2/WS2 and actually measure .009/.012 choke constriction…about perfect for sporting clays or upland game over dogs. If you want to hunt upland game or shoot clay targets with the most potent ammunition or with the most recognized of the iconic American double guns, this gun is priced right and ready for another 100 years of service. Mechanically perfect in every way and weighing just 7lbs. 3oz. it is a nice field or clays gun. Made in the early years of the Model 21 this is a shotgun that will increase in value as you enjoy it use. Thanks for looking, and don’t let this one get away.
