Description:
Colt New Line single action revolver, .38 cal. center fire. ((((((CENTER FIRE))))) Manufactured in 1880, last year of production. Total quantity in both .38 RF and .38 CF about 5,500. Spur trigger 5 shot revolver with 2-1/4” barrel blued with casehardened frame and rosewood grips. S.N. #11694. This gun is in overall fine condition showing approx. 99% blue and case color, excellent bore, crisp mechanically positive action. (COLT'S PT. F.A.MFG.CO.) on the top of the barrel. Just below the cylinder on the left (.38 CAL C). On the original etched panel on left side of barrel (COLT NEW .38). The only thing that keeps this gun from being 100% as is marring on the etched panel and a scratch on the patent date. See photos. Still it is a center fire and piece that would be hard to fined for you antique Colt collection.
