Description:
This custom 30-06 rifle is built on a Pre-War (1937) Model 70 action and barrel. Serial No. 10709. Action, forend and floorplate engraved by a master but not marked with engravers name. I have some names in mind like "in the style of"; but why guess? Two panel checkered bolt handle.The wood is obviously 4X grade with checkering in superb condition. The bluing rates a 95%+ rating. Bright, shiny bore and a Lyman "Alaskan" mounted in custom made rings. The horn buttplate has a few small chips on the right side. Otherwise the gun is in perfect working condition. A few light, gun vault nicks in the stock.Pretty darned nice for a gun that is now 80 years old and made to be used. Inquiries welcomed. $6,750.00 plus $55.00 S&H.
