Description:
We have no idea who sporterized this Springfield rifle, but it was done correctly and with taste. Stock work and checkering is first class. Rifle has a checkered Winchester Model 70.71 buttplate, horn grip cap, etc. Bolt has been turned down, contoured and checkered. Bolt has been jeweled and fitted with a low scope safety. Action has been drilled and tapped and fitted with a Leupold one piece base and rings which are included with the rifle. Trigger has been worked and adjusted to approx 2 lbs with no creep at all. The entire barreled action was then professionally polished and blued. This is the way a military rifle should be sporterized. We are selling this rifle for less than it would cost to stock it today.
