#3157 . Rare SIG PE 57 in 7.5x55 Swiss .
Matching numbers , all original in 98 % condition. Excellent+ bore and mechanic.
Light handling marks , but for the dent in the left side if the grip . The gun has spent its entire life in the US in one collection and has been fired by the owner one time.
This was the Swiss army assault rifle from 1957 to 1990 , known as the sturmgewehr 57. After serving the draft, the Swiss civilians could buy their rifles , but converted to semi auto, PE = Privat Einzelfeuer and used them as match rifles (we are now talking proper gun control!!!).
Specifications: weight 12.5 pounds , barrel length 23”, 24 rounds clip, Sights graduated to 650 meters.
